Agenda Highlights

In the Mid-Atlantic region, post-tensioned (PT) concrete is a very common system used for concrete primary structures. But, CFS framing must connect to these systems for support, in both structural and nonstructural uses. The PT cables weave up and down in the concrete members, thus requiring any post-installed fasteners to only be permitted to be embedded ¾”, which is very difficult when high shear and tension loads are required at a connection. Fastener manufacturers have products, and are constantly developing new products to deal with this difficult depth constraint. Several of the manufacturers who deal in our region have agreed to come together for a presentation and panel discussion on this topic.
